{"id":5679100,"date":"2023-11-13T16:53:12","date_gmt":"2023-11-13T15:53:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ecogestspa.com\/?p=5679100"},"modified":"2023-11-13T16:53:12","modified_gmt":"2023-11-13T15:53:12","slug":"valerio-molinari-at-ibttas-global-tolling-session-talks-about-the-most-innovative-challenges-for-road-and-motorway-infrastructure","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.ecogestspa.com\/en\/valerio-molinari-at-ibttas-global-tolling-session-talks-about-the-most-innovative-challenges-for-road-and-motorway-infrastructure\/","title":{"rendered":"Valerio Molinari at IBTTA&#8217;s Global Tolling Session talks about the most innovative challenges for road and motorway infrastructure"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8216;Sustainability and Green mobility&#8217;, this\u00a0was the theme of the IBTTA Global Tolling Session being\u00a0held in Athens, which\u00a0saw the participation of Ecogest with a speech on &#8216;New road and motorway green maintenance plans to prevent and protect\u00a0infrastructures from the consequences of climate\u00a0change&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>The session, moderated by Emanuela Stocchi, Director of Foreign Affairs of AISCAT, was\u00a0attended by Nicola Busatto, Head of Technology of CAV, John Davis, Commercial Director of ViaPlus from Ireland, Lev Pinelis, founder of ToolI Insight from the USA, Ren\u00e8 Moser, Head of International Affairs of ASFINAG from Austria, and Michael Halkias, from WSP USA, based in Washington.<\/p>\n<p>A worldwide and prestigious audience that\u00a0welcomed with great\u00a0interest the speech by Valerio Molinari, Ecogest&#8217;s\u00a0reference shareholder and founder of the Climate\u00a0Change Studies Centre, at the end of a long journey\u00a0that\u00a0has\u00a0allowed the Ravenna-based company to acquire a now\u00a0recognised\u00a0role in the study and in-depth\u00a0analysis\u00a0at an international level on the issues of climate\u00a0change and its\u00a0effects and consequences on the state of health of the infrastructure system.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The new challenge we are working on,&#8221; said Molinari in the most\u00a0significant part of his speech, &#8220;concerns the ability to apply new technologies, including\u00a0artificial intelligence, to traditional\u00a0highway\u00a0infrastructure\u00a0maintenance techniques, starting with the maintenance and management of green areas, rethinking\u00a0programmes and schemes\u00a0that\u00a0have\u00a0now\u00a0been\u00a0superseded by new climate\u00a0emergencies, and not\u00a0being\u00a0afraid of &#8216;change&#8217;. Innovation is the watchword of the next\u00a0few\u00a0years, both from a technological and conceptual point of view, even for maintenance activities that\u00a0until a few\u00a0years ago were\u00a0classified\u00a0as\u00a0artisanal&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Ecogest believes\u00a0that the complete digitisation of greenery management is the real challenge of the near future.
