The contract complements the existing agreement for the Grande Raccordo Anulare, strengthening the group’s presence on the capital’s major road infrastructure
Ravenna, 23 June 2026 – Ecogest SpA, a leading company in Italy and abroad in the maintenance of roadside and motorway green spaces, has been awarded a contract by ANAS SpA for the maintenance of green spaces and the cleaning of associated facilities along the first section of State Road 148, the ‘Pontina’.
This new contract, worth €427,000, consolidates the group’s presence in Lazio, where Ecogest is already operating on Rome’s Grande Raccordo Anulare (GRA) under a contract awarded by ANAS at the end of 2025.
The contract runs for three years and will cover one of the most important roads in the Lazio region, characterised by high traffic volumes and a strategic role in connecting Rome with the south of the region.
Work is set to begin in mid-July.
The service on the GRA covers the entire loop of the Grande Raccordo Anulare (A90), as well as sections of the A91 Rome–Fiumicino, the SS 2 Bis Cassia Veientana and the SS 296 Della Scafa.
As part of this contract, Ecogest is carrying out grass-cutting work in areas under motorway jurisdiction – including hard shoulders, embankments, junctions, verges and central reservations – as well as specialist maintenance work on the tree population, including pruning, controlled felling, lopping and debarking.

On this new contract too, we will deploy specialist expertise, technology and operational organisation to ensure effective, timely and sustainable interventions.
As regards the GRA, the ongoing project involves a highly efficient operational model, with work to secure vegetation, thin out growth and control invasive species carried out using industrial-grade equipment. Some operations are scheduled to take place at night to minimise the impact on traffic and ensure maximum operational safety.
With the new contract on the SS 148 Pontina and the contract already in place on the Grande Raccordo Anulare, Ecogest further strengthens its role as a leading partner for the maintenance of green s along Italy’s major road infrastructure, contributing to user safety, environmental sustainability and the enhancement of public green spaces.
