Ecogest SpA, a company operating in Italy and abroad specialising in the maintenance of roadside and motorway greenery, has been awarded by Anas SpA the contract for extraordinary maintenance work on the greenery along the Grande Raccordo Anulare di Roma (Gra), one of the most strategic and busiest sections of the national road network. “We have followed this tender very closely from the early stages,” says Valerio Molinari, majority shareholder of the Ecogest group, which is part of the Greenway Group. ‘After technical inspections along the ring road and the Cassia Bis and Fiumicino slip roads, we found that a different approach was needed from the traditional concept of routine maintenance. In some sections, invasive vegetation limits visibility and creates potentially dangerous situations for users’.
