Ecogest North America acquires Greenbrier Landscaping: a strategic investment of €2.3 million in Canada that has received extensive coverage in the Italian press.

19 June 2025

This marks a new and important step in Ecogest North America’s international growth strategy.
The Canadian subsidiary of the Ecogest Group – through the holding company Greenway Group, the business arm of the Molinari family – has completed the acquisition of 100% of Greenbrier Landscaping, a company with over 25 years of experience in urban and infrastructure green space maintenance in the province of Ontario.
The transaction, with a total value of €2.3 million in assets and backlog, represents a further step in the consolidation of Ecogest North America’s presence in Canada, where it already has numerous contracts along the country’s main roads.
“With this acquisition, we are strengthening our position in Ontario and opening up new prospects for expansion into British Columbia and the US market,” said Valerio Molinari, president of Ecogest. “We are continuing our commitment to bringing Italian know-how to the world by investing in quality, innovation, and sustainability.”

Ecogest North America thus confirms its role as an international player in the environmental and infrastructure maintenance sector. In Italy, Ecogest is one of the leading national operators, with over 8,200 kilometers of road and highway network managed throughout the peninsula.
The acquisition of Greenbrier represents a strategic synergy: by combining the local experience of the Canadian company with the technical and organizational expertise of the Italian group, Ecogest aims to offer increasingly efficient and sustainable services, in line with the climatic and environmental challenges of the infrastructure of the future.

The news was reported by the main Italian media, confirming the importance of the operation for the sector and for the Group’s internationalization process:
